Those flashy online Frontier ads sure look enticing. Click and you'll find out that the airline has extended it's Economic Stimulus Package deal until today! Flights from Denver starting at $39! "Save big bucks all across the USA," their website says. Big bucks! Across the USA! Why not?
But click further and you'll find out that there are only two $39 flights: to Albuquerque, New Mexico and Colorado Springs. Okay, Albuquerque isn't a bad deal. But Colorado Springs? Really?
Say you wanted to fly there on February 18 and return the next day. According to their website, the total cost would be nearly $100. (That's $39 each way plus fees, taxes etc.) With gas prices between $1.50 and $1.70 a gallon, that's not economic stimulus. That's economic suckiness.
