Red Room (along with seven other bars along East Colfax) 7:00 pm Saturday, May 19

My favorite memory from my first Colfax Crawl was my former German roommate being mistaken for a prostitute. We were sitting on the corner of Colfax and Williams stuffing Burger King in our drunken mouths, when a car pulled into the parking lot behind us. The man tried to wave my roommate over to his car but unluckily for him, her German steel-trap focus was zeroed in on a couple of fries at the bottom of the Burger King bag.

Sadly, my old roommate will not be able to participate in tomorrow night's crawl. Due to the immigration policies that required her French fry-loving German self to go back to Germany.

But don't let her suffering be in vain. Head down to the Red Room (the first stop of the night) at 7:00 and knock one (or couple) back in her honor.

Jim Dahl, the organizer of the event, also has some inspiring words to share:

Yes, it's that time of year again...

You've been a Pirate, you've been to Prom, but this time you'll have to dig deep and channel your inner "hero" to save Colfax from despair and destruction. Sure, you can pay tribute to Wonder Woman, Batman, or superheroes of days past, or you can go up, up and awayyyyyy from the usual and represent your own SUPER POWERS.

Anything goes, just as long as you go with US!!! Drink specials all night. Grab your your tights, sidekicks, and tips and get ready to conquer Colfax once and for all.

When you combine drinking, tights and Colfax, you are bound to have a good time. -- Crystal Preston-Watson
