Our post about the final conviction in the horrific case of sixteen-year-old Nathan Bozonier, who was hit by a car and then beaten to death last year, inspired his sister Annette to share her thoughts about the trio convicted of the crime.

Her words are strong and from the heart.

Annette Bozonier writes:

Thank you to all who have supported the Bozonier family during this horrific time. Thank you to the courts for a fair and just outcome. I would like the world to know that these people admitted in court that they did not know of or have ever heard of Nathan Bozonier. It is true that Lakiesha Vigil struck Nathan Bozonier with the Nissan. It is true that when he was down on the street he was beaten to death by a "not so sporty" bat. It is true that all 3 convicted had an opportunity to call for help. But,at this point they continued to beat him instead.

Lakiesha Vigil, I can appreciate your sincere apology, but I am disgusted that you, a mother, have no regard or respect for life.

Adrian Quintana, please study what it means to be a person of integrity, dignity, honor, and humanity because these things you are not. The truth could have set you free, but after your word to plea bargain and testify against Antonio Rios you suddenly had nothing to say. All I know of you is that you are a father and you have no respect for yourself. As you stated in the court you continued to beat Nathan Bozonier in the "back" because you felt sorry for him to make the others stop. You make no sense and clearly have none. You fully participated and killed him... this was your intent.

Antonio Rios, It had been said that you had a rough upbringing. You even had your hard working, lovely lady defender crying on your behalf. Bless her for her empathy. I wish I could believe you of all involved could be rehabilitated. You of all have traveled the world. You are very educated. You have made your own loving family suffer and they still love you and support you. You have had an amazing upbringing and this is how you show your appreciation to your family. Shame... you, Antonio Rios, turned your back on them.

In closing, my hope is that something can be learned from this gross loss of several lives. Eventually, I will have to forgive. I will NEVER FORGET. I am accepting that no one won in this case.

In My God's Hands, Annette Bozonier
