"Tony Shawcross Saved Public-Access TV in Denver," a July 8 Message column, reported about how Shawcross and his associates created Denver Open Media, an entity that rescued public-access television in the metro area. No wonder the organization was chosen to host "Access Without Borders: New Frontiers in Community Media," the western-region conference for Washington, D.C.'s Alliance for Community Media. Events take place throughout today and continue through Saturday, October 25, at DOM's headquarters, located at 700 Kalamath Street -- and walk-ins are welcome.
