Ever had the feeling that life is just a long, drawn-out, ultra-violent comic book? Claudio Sanchez, comic-book author and leader of the metal-esque prog-rock band Coheed and Cambria, has made an entire career out of just such a continuing plot, spinning albums around his serial visions. More recently, Sanchez branched out to create another comic book project, Kill Audio, with artist Sheldon Vella. It comes a collectible vinyl toy of its immortal protagonist, Kill Audio.
Sanchez, in town for gig with the band, will take some time out today for a toy-signing event at Denver's foremost collectible toy emporium, Plastic Chapel, 3109 E. Colfax Avenue. He'll show off the new Kill Audio Bloody Edition, which comes with a removable embedded knife and cleaver. Sweet -- since it isn't often you get to meet a rock star and get your toy signed, too. Meet and greet Sanchez from 3 to 4:30 p.m. this afternoon; for details visit Plastic Chapel on Myspace or call 303-722-0715.
