Yesterday, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office says, a man fitting this description tried to grab a fourteen-year-old girl near the Cherry Knolls pool, and might have succeeded had she not punched him in the stomach and run away. Get more details from the ACSO release below:

Possible Kidnapping/Assault Suspect Sought

On July 15, 2010, at approximately 10:13 a.m., Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 2400 block of East Geddes Place on the report of a possible assault that had occurred 20-minutes prior. Once the deputies arrived on the scene they spoke with the victim who was a 14-year old female. The juvenile advised deputies that she was returning home from her swimming lessons at the Cherry Knolls pool. She started walking south of the pool on the bike path, when she decided to take a short cut which is not part of the main path. As she was walking on this alternative path, she heard a male voice behind her, say "hi." She turned around and noticed a subject described as:

White Male, approximately 18-25 years old

5'11 - 6'0 tall

Brown spiked hair, with green/brown eyes

Last seen wearing a green shirt and green camouflage pants

He also has a tattoo of a spider web on his right hand.

When she turned back around and began to walk away, the subject grabbed her left wrist and stated "Don't you know it's rude to turn your back on someone when they are talking to you?" The juvenile pulled her arm from his grip, punched him in the stomach, then ran home and called her mother to advise her of what had just happened.

The surrounding area was searched but the suspect was not found. The juvenile and her mother responded to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Administration Building to meet with Investigators to create a composite sketch of the subject.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.

If you have any information regarding the suspect, please contact the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office at 303-795-4711.
