Stop paying $6 for joints of shake just because they look nice. You can roll the exact same thing yourself with actual buds -- all it takes is practice. I spent about a week in Jamaica a few years back with a pack of these papers and a whole lot of Jamaican green perfecting this very simple, but very elegant method.
This dude, Michael Sessions, is a true preacher of the Stoner MacGyver ways, passing on old-school methods like this one. A friend taught me the technique about ten years ago, and while it takes a few tries to master, it eliminates any excess paper that you'd otherwise be smoking. It's also a pretty cool parlor trick that, as the eloquent Sessions says, "is the fun part that the bitches love."
You don't really even have to know who Pierre Burton is for this video to be funny. But understanding he's one of Canada's most respected authors, journalists and cannaseurs definitely adds to the hilarity. Though the "hydroponic" in this video looks like someone forgot to trim it, the old man lays it down and spins up a nice "coner."
Continue for more video tips about how to roll a joint. Sessions' videos are just too good not to share another with you. In this one, he lays it down with his take on the cross joint. I dig the method, which (as he mentions) doesn't require as much tearing or construction as other approaches. My only criticism would be the Zig Zags. That shit is like notebook paper compared to other papers out there these days.
