One of the items on the agenda of the Denver City Council August 18 is whether to approve a $150,000 settlement for Timothy Thomason, the cancer patient who was deprived of his pain medications at the city jail. Our story "Pain Management," which explored Thomason's ordeal and the peculiar conduct of jail employees, who detained him for hours after he'd supposedly been released, touched off a lively exchange in the comments section.
