Partners Power and Rod Dupen -- no, they're not brothers -- got their start cooking up waffles on the 16th Street Mall, then opened their first brick-and-mortar at 393 Corona Street. When they closed that location in April, Power said he hoped that the new space -- which is a few hundred feet larger -- would be open by the summer. "It's a win-win for us," he told us then. "We were looking for a new space to up our game."
Fortunately, during the new wait, waffle fans had other options: Waffle Brothers Pub Style, which has a bar as well as waffles, had opened in the fall of 2013 . There's also a Waffle Brothers spot in Boulder.
And any minute now, Waffle Brothers will be back in business in central Denver. Power is predicting a 7:30 a.m. opening. Fair farning; the phone number -- 303-733-1212 -- isn't working there yet. In the meantime, you can find out more here.
