Breckenridge Brewery and Krewe's Free Firkin Party! at Krewe Crescent City BBQ (Tuesday, free) Beer and BBQ: The pairing makes sense. Now the guys from Krewe have created their own firkin of brew at Breckenridge Brewery, and they want to let you try it -- for free. Rumor has it, it's a strawberry rhubarb agave wheat concoction, so you better get down to Krewe early, to ask the brewmaster how they came up with that.

Two-Day Civic Workout: Show Us Your Muscles at Buntport Theater (Tuesday-Wednesday, free) Warm Cookies of the Revolution is constantly putting on events to make us think and kick our civic duties into overdrive -- and this week the agenda is so intense, it's two days long. With the elections just around the corner, the discussion will focus on how to maximize your vote and even marry your community. Sounds interesting. 20th Annual World Brewer's Forum at Denver Marriott City Center (Thursday, free) The Keg Ran Out Club, or KROC, a home-brewery club out of Broomfield, hosts its twentieth annual conference to talk about beer and drink it. Sample twenty home-brewed recipes and hear talks from Shaun O'Sullivan, co-founder/Brewmaster of 21st Amendment Brewery, Eric Nichols of Beryl's Beer Company and author of Brew Like a Monk, Stan Hieronymus.
