Fatal Stabbing in Glendale, Severiano Almendariz Busted (32)

More violence in the wake of a fatal shooting at 11th and Broadway: Early Monday morning, police in Glendale found a fatal stabbing victim and initiated a search for someone described as a "person of interest" — although it was clear from early on that he was much more than that.

A few hours ago, that individual — Severiano Almendariz — was taken into custody on suspicion of homicide. Details, photos, video and more below.

Thus far, the Glendale Police Department has been stingy with details about the crime. Neither the name nor the gender of the victim found at around 6:30 a.m. in a Glendale apartment building have been revealed at this writing.

Here's a larger look at Almendariz's photo, which appears to have been snapped for a driver's license/ID:
As you can see, the flier identifies Almendariz as a person of interest — but both the Facebook message and tweet are tagged with the line, "URGENT! BE ON THE LOOKOUT! Possible Homicide Suspect!"

Then, yesterday evening, the GPD tweeted the following:

Homicide suspect is now in custody! Thank you for your assistance.

The details of Almendariz's arrest have yet to be shared, and the same is true of the charges under which he's being held.
