Earlier this week, Brent Fedrizzi and Don Strasburg, two of the region's most well-regarded booking agents, departed their Live Nation posts, reportedly to help establish a local division of that company's primary competitor, Anschutz Entertainment Group. The country's second-largest promoter after Live Nation, AEG currently has no presence in Denver -- despite the fact that Philip Anschutz is based here.
Jason Miller, Live Nation's L.A.-based senior VP of touring, used to oversee booking for HOB, and he'll step in to handle regional booking duties for his current employer effective immediately. No word yet on the status of Live Nation's primary booker, Chuck Morris (pictured), the president of Chuck Morris Presents, whose thirty years' experience in the concert biz carry a tremendous amount of clout. More details to follow as they become available. -- Dave Herrera
