This weekend we say goodbye to February and welcome March — which means it's time to get out there and eat, since Denver Restaurant Week ends on March 1. Get out there and sink your teeth into one of the $30 multi-course meals being offered at eateries around town. Of course, there are other tasty events around, too; here are four of our favorites.

Through March 1

More than 250 metro area restaurants are participating in Denver Restaurant Week; see the complete list here.

Friday, February 27

Steak and whiskey are two of god's greatest gifts to man. At 6 p.m. tonight, Cook Street School of Culinary Arts will celebrate the pair with a class that will teach you how to prepare two different types of steak. At the same time, you'll sip some locally produced spirits and hear from the representative from a local distillery, who will conduct a whiskey tasting. Tuition for the course is $99; register at cookstreet.com.

Saturday, February 28

Green Labs is at it again, bringing together connoisseurs of food, drink and cannabis alike. The lab, which held a sushi- and joint-rolling class last week, is holding a Coffee and Cannabis Pairing today from 4 to 6 p.m. During this two-hour class, participants will be educated in the art of pairing different beans and roasts with complementary strains. Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased at eventbrite.com.

Pets 4 People have teamed with Colorado Puppy Rescue, The Hopeful Hound and several local businesses to put on the 2015 Valentine Fundraiser, honoring Dr. Edward A. Garcia, "The Patron Saint of Pets," who has been helping animals for over five decades. The event at Bonacquisti Winery will feature live music by the Ferreira Bros, wine from Bonacquisti, cakes from Rockin' Cakes, plenty of food and drinks, a silent auction and much more. The event will run from 3 to 8 p.m. and tickets are $25, grab yours here.

Sunday, March 1

March is Red Cross Month, and the Breckenridge-Wynkoop group will be supporting the cause by donating 25 percent  of their sales today to the Red Cross.  The Ale House at Amato’s, Breckenridge Colorado Craft, Cherry Cricket, Session Kitchen and Wynkoop Brewing Company are all participating; all you need to do is order some food, maybe a beer or two, and mention the Red Cross promotion and a quarter of your bill will go to the American Red Cross to support of Colorado Disaster Relief.
