Denver caters to karaoke aficionados, with evenings that offer everything from punk-rock backup bands to songbooks filled with Selena songs. We crowned 100% de Agave as the Best Spanish-Language Karaoke in our Best of Denver 2015, but it's not the only place where you can throw back a tequila shot and belt out some Maná. Here are five more of our favorites, as well as the this year's winner.

6) El Paraiso
4690 Harlan Street

El Paraiso might not have karaoke every night of the week, but the weekends are 100 percent dedicated to karaoke. Saturday is Latin Night, which means the karaoke list will be full of Jenni Rivera impersonators and the brave ranchera lover who’s just drunk enough to sing "Paloma Negra." As an added bonus, El Paraiso features a live mariachi band on Fridays and Sundays. Before karaoke starts on Friday, you can watch the mariachi band while drinking a margarita to help calm your nerves before taking the stage yourself.

5) Armida’s
840 Lincoln Street

Armida’s earned Westword's Best Karaoke honors three years in a row, but its Spanish selection earns this spot a nod, too. For twenty years Armida’s has dominated both the karaoke and happy-hour game. Every day from 4-6 p.m., Armida’s offers two-for-one drinks and 50 percent off all food items to supplement the karaoke. The only hard decision you’ll have to make at Armida’s is whether or not you want to slur to an Enrique song in English or Spanish.

4) El Pelicano
15355 East Colfax Avenue
Life is made better when free shots of tequila are involved. Thursday nights at El Pelicano, a karaoke singer can have a free tequila shot in one hand while holding a microphone in the other. The crowd is usually gearing up for Noche Bachata the following night, so don’t be surprised if you see everybody pair up while you’re singing Romeo’s "Eres Mía."

3) 7 Leguas Mexican Grille
4550 East Colfax Avenue

Head east on Colfax for 7 Leguas Mexican Grille, one of Denver’s best Spanish karaoke spots. At 7 Leguas you can enjoy a platter of seafood molcajetes while the family next to you sings "Mi Dulce Niña." While 7 Leguas’ Spanish karaoke tends to be better suited for families, it will leave you wondering when you last heard the Kumbia Kings. If you decide to head to 7 Leguas, make sure it’s a Friday or Saturday, though, since that’s when the international bar is open.

2) La Morena Mexican Restaurant
9650 East Colfax Avenue, Aurora

Head further east on Colfax Avenue for another winning Spanish karaoke entry: La Morena Mexican Restaurant. In fact, this is a win-win situation, because Spanish karaoke takes place every day, and the kitchen stays open late in order to keep up with tequila consumption at happy-hour prices. After you realize that Don Julio doesn’t transform you into Jennifer Lopez, La Morena’s quesadillas might sober you up enough to accept that while J-Lo can do an a capella Selena rendition, you should not.

1) 100% de Agave
975 Lincoln Street
Belting out the Spice Girls' "Say You'll Be There" is always fun, but sometimes you just want to get in touch with your inner Selena and sing "Como La Flor" while a frozen margarita melts all over the microphone. When it comes to Spanish-language karaoke, 100% de Agave has a complete song list. Once the clock strikes 9 p.m. on Thursdays, the place fills up with people who want to chow down on happy-hour-priced munchies and salsa-dance to the amateur singing.
