Boulder coffee company Conscious Coffees isn't just talking the talk when it comes to sourcing sustainable coffee and committing to working directly with growers to keep profits out of the hands of middlemen. Owner Mel Evans-Glenn is walking the walk — or running the run, in this case. She's headed to Africa to participate in Run Across Congo, where she'll run seven marathons in seven days to raise money and awareness for Project Congo. Pigtrain Coffee Co., inside Union Station, is selling Run Across Congo mugs for $15 each and all proceeds from sales will be donated to Project Congo.

The series of runs will take place from May 24 to 30 along the shores of Lake Kivu in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and will benefit female coffee growers in the country. Her goal is to raise $15,000 for the cause, which will go toward education, land access and small-business opportunities for women in the coffee farming business.

If you can't make it to Pigtrain Coffee for your mug, you can also purchase them on the Conscious Coffee website.
