Nathaniel Rateliff will sing the national anthem on Monday, December 28, before the Broncos and Bengals play during Monday Night Football. Maybe you've heard of him?
Rateliff and his band the Night Sweats have had, we would say, a decent year — from late-night-TV appearances to an international tour to fans and radio stations belting out the "whoa-oh-oh" refrain of hit song "S.O.B." For this hometown hero, it's been nothing short of milestone after milestone.
The year 2015 will end for Rateliff in the most Denver way possible: The soul-singing man will belt out "The Star-Spangled Banner" from the turf of Sports Authority Field at Mile High to kick off Monday Night Football (and hopefully a much-needed Broncos' W).
If you don't have tickets to the game, the hi-dive will be hosting a viewing party. Even if you aren't a football fan, this is one pre-game every music fan should be tuned into. In the words of the hi-dive event page, "Come join us cheering on one guy who definitely does not suck and a bunch of other guys who will hopefully not suck."
