GoodBird Kitchen, the fast-casual spin-off of the Post Brewing Company in Lafayette, is gearing up to open its first location in Longmont next week. A second location had also been planned, but Dave Query, founder of the Big Red F restaurant group behind the fried-chicken joints, announced today that GoodBird is pulling out of a deal to open in the new Stanley Marketplace, a multi-vendor food and beverage hall scheduled to open in 2016 in Aurora, just southeast of Stapleton.

"Mark Shaker, the developer for the project...and I have easily come to an agreement and he's gonna find another equally awesome tenant to take that space, which I believe to be the marquee location in the Stanley," Query states in a press release.

Query adds that there's "no drama around us leaving, and Mark was very gracious in working with us to facilitate it."

So far ten other food-service concepts have committed to the Stanley Marketplace (see our initial list here). The newest to join in the fun are Casita Brewing and a permanent version of the Rolling Smoke BBQ food truck.

Big Red F also operates Lola, all of the Jax Fish House locations, Zolo Grill, the West End Tavern and Centro Latin Kitchen.
