Although it's still going through some social growing pains, the legal cannabis industry is known for its relative inclusiveness for women entrepreneurs. That's certainly true of several events this week, beginning with a women's support-group meeting on the endocannabinoid system and finishing with the premiere of a movie about women's roles in commercial cannabis. Ellementa Meetup: The Endocannabinoid System
Wednesday, February 28, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Women's cannabis group Ellementa will hold its next meeting at Cluster Studios to discuss how cannabis interacts with the human body's endocannabinoid system. Speakers include Ellementa founder Ashley Kingsley and Franklin Bioscience's Dr. Helena Yardley. Tickets are $10 now and $20 the day of the event.

Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Cannabis Discussion for Sistahpreneurs
Saturday, March 3, 9 to 11:15 a.m.
Stapleton MCA — The Cube
8371 Northfield Boulevard
Black women entrepreneurs will meet in Stapleton to network, share stories and learn from each other at a quarterly business summit focused on the legal cannabis industry. Attendees will learn about new markets, business models and startup opportunities in commercial pot, and they'll get an extra dose of motivation from keynote speaker Wanda James, Colorado's first black female dispensary owner. Tickets are $20.

Mary Janes: The Women of Weed Premiere
Saturday, March 3, 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema
7301 South Santa Fe Drive, Littleton
Join filmmaker Windy Borman for the Denver premiere of Mary Janes: The Women of Weed, a documentary about cannabis's relationship with America and how women entrepreneurs are shaping its commercialization, at the Alamo Drafthouse in Littleton. After the 7 p.m. screening, Borman will hold a Q&A. Tickets are $20.

ARC Launch Party
Saturday, March 3, 7 to 11:55 p.m.
Cultivated Synergy

Endocanna Labs and ABrooksArt will host a jump-off party for their new product, ARC crystals, at Cultivated Synergy. The Ranch Events Complex
5280 Arena Circle, Loveland
The NoCo Hemp Expo returns to the Ranch Events Complex in Loveland for a fifth year. There will be vendors, symposiums and panel discussions — all focusing on hemp — as well as food and live music. Tickets range from $15 for the Saturday expo to $65 for both days and access to business-to-business events. Learn more on the expo website.

Cannabis: A Visual Perspective

CU Museum of Natural History

This current art exhibit at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History includes botanical watercolor, colored pencil, print and mixed-media illustrations from the Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists, all of which explore the diversity of cannabis.
