Dazzle

Dazzle

In business for more than fifteen years, Dazzle has secured its spot as the premier place for jazz in Denver. DownBeat magazine listed it as one of the top 100 jazz clubs in the world ― and with good reason.
Historians Ale House

Historians Ale House

The long bar at Historians Ale House is reminiscent of something you would find in Boston or Chicago, with its never-ending line of taps surrounded by warm brick walls and sky-high ceilings.
The Walnut Room

The Walnut Room

While the Walnut Street location, which opened in 2005, is a great place for grub, it's also a 250-person music venue that brings in a steady stream of local and national acts and boasts one of the best-sounding rooms in the city.

  • Sports Station American Grill

    Sports Station American Grill

    409 N. Railroad Ave. Loveland, CO 80537
    970-461-2735

http://www.sportsstationco.com Once a train station in downtown Loveland that was built in 1902, Sports Station American Grill opened in 2006, taking advantage of the building's unique architecture. While the Sports Station is undoubtedly sports-centric, the friendly place brings people together like the old train station did, so there's a feeling of community here, too. The menu includes a build-your-own-burger option, fresh wraps, salads, appetizers and Mexican entrees, and the Sports Station boasts one of the largest outdoor patios around. • Surfside 7

    Surfside 7

150 N. College Ave. Fort Collins, CO 80524
    970-221-4281

http://www.surfsideseven.com Though the Hawaii Five-0 surf motif is flogged mercilessly here -- with decorated surfboards and a tiki-hut bar -- Surfside 7 in Old Town Fort Collins offers some of the hippest rock and punk music this side of 1979. The place is tightly packed and loud, with friendly punks spilling out of the booths at all hours. The jukebox is stocked with a decent selection of punk and rock CDs, so even when bands aren’t playing, the Surfside is still a great place to grab a beer, an exotic specialty drink or a slice of New York-style pizza. • The Swing Station

    The Swing Station

    3311 W. County Road 54G Laporte, CO 80535
    970-224-3326

The Swing Station feels like the type of place you'd find in the middle of nowhere -- which is exactly where it's located. Its down-home feeling is accentuated by a bright pine bar with ample seating. In fact, the whole bar is covered in bright colors, a welcome change from the usual dark atmosphere found in most venues. It's a traditional cowboy honky-tonk, with live, classic Americana music at least five nights a week on an outdoor stage during the summer and an indoor stage for the winter months. It's not unusual to spot cowboy boots or a ten-gallon hat, and it likewise wouldn't be surprising to see a horse tied up outside. The Swing Station is also a community hangout, and one of the few bars where children are welcome and don't seem out of place. Read more about The Swing Station >>

    11010 E. 120th Ave. Henderson, CO 80640
    303-286-1475

http://www.tailfeatherssaloon.com On its website, Tailfeathers Saloon claims it's "home of the coldest beer in Henderson." Sure, the cold brew is a draw here, but the no-frills, biker-friendly joint also has a dance floor, pool tables, video games, a covered patio with horseshoe pits, and weekly karaoke nights. Rumor has it that LeAnn Rimes once popped in to sing a tune. The menu includes burgers, hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches and nachos. Read more about Tailfeathers Saloon >>

  • Tasty Weasel Tap Room

    Tasty Weasel Tap Room

1800 Pike Road Longmont, CO 80501
    303-776-1914

http://www.oskarblues.com/restaurant/tasty-weasel-tap-room It’s no surprise that Oskar Blues, one of the most beloved craft breweries in the state, is responsible for the Tasty Weasel Tap Room, one of the most beloved tap rooms in Colorado. Between the tournament-style Skee-Ball lanes (there are regular team sign-ups for tournaments), the frequent live music, free daily tours of the brewery facilities, free Wi-Fi, the Tasty Weasel’s very own food truck (the Oskar Blues BoneWagon) and the whiskey-barrel bar tables, there are many reasons that people flock to this tap room. But the biggest one, of course, is the beer, including twice-weekly releases of small-batch Oskar Blues brews that you can’t find anywhere except for the Tasty Weasel. And the loyalty-club perks alone justify the trip to Longmont. Read more about Tasty Weasel Tap Room >>
