The call for artists is now open for the 2017 Monochrome Photography show sponsored by the Palmer Divide Photographers Group.
The group is proud to announce that Joanna Pinneo, highly acclaimed professional photographer will judge the show.
Pinneo's work is a respectful portrayal of humanity and dignity of people around the world. Sensitive, intuitive and present, Pinneo’s strength is in photographing the intimate details of daily life and conveying complex issues through visual storytelling. For 36 years, in 66 countries, Pinneo has photographed unforgettable moments for numerous magazines and books. Her photograph of a child sleeping with its mother in Mali, West Africa is included in the 50 Greatest Photographs of National Geographic. The photograph graced the cover of National Geographic Magazine in May of 1998 and Women Photographers at National Geographic.
The Show will run August 31 – October 27 at the Lucy Owens Gallery of the Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts, 304 Highway 105 in Palmer Lake. The opening reception for the show is 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 31. The events are free and open to the public.

Pinneo will host a Judge’s Seminar at 7 p.m. on August 30th, which is a ticketed event.
