If you haven’t seen as much of hometown heroes Edison as you would like lately, it’s because the Denver-based indie-folk trio has been touring hard, racking up over 100,000 miles in eighteen months. “We’ve been on the road constantly because of the connection live music brings with people in such a digital age,” says lead singer Sarah Slaton. “You can’t replicate the organic moment between the crowd and artist at a live show. The energy and connection is palpable and authentic.” The musicians have opened for Iron & Wine, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats and Andrew McMahon. Now Edison is planning another weeks-long trek, this time out west. The journey will start on November 2 at the hi-dive — where the trio will play alongside Lola Rising and Jen Korte & the Loss — and end on November 18 in Wray, Colorado.
