Space study used to be for geeks only, but the Fiske Planetarium/Sommers-Bausch Observatory at CU-Boulder is out to change that. Fiske is an equal-opportunity planetarium, and to diversify its crowd it is extending the invitation to the Great Beyond to stoners and punks, too. With Friday night laser shows set to the music of bands like the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd and Nine Inch Nails, Fiske may be Boulder's best alternative to getting high in your dorm room. Fiske offers a number of family-friendly shows, too, including live talks from scientists, star shows in the observatory, and PG-rated Staurday matinee laser shows. Prices and showtimes vary; visit the website for complete details.
