Wolf, Woman, Man, the debut album from Lost Walks, depicts a dark story of a couple isolated in the mountains who come face to face with a wolf. The narrative fits the band’s atmospheric, haunting sound, which utilizes strings, drums, guitars and even the accordion. Baritone spoken-word vocals akin to those of Nick Cave or Leonard Cohen add to the music’s spooky mood. Lost Walks comprises members of some of Denver’s most beloved bands, including Slim Cessna’s Auto Club and Strange Americans; they’ll incorporate dancers and art by locals Liz Holland and Alvino Salcedo to tell this macabre tale on stage.
