A self-proclaimed "community bar," #VYBE (previously Broadways), which sits just blocks from Civic Center Park, has been a pre- and post-parade destination for spirited PrideFest-goers for years. But during the rest of the year, the storefront spot is a nondescript hangout for everyone, with a pool table garnering the most attention and a tiny bungalow of a dance floor sometimes occupied by a DJ. The jukebox blares everything from Whitney Houston to Queen, but the patrons bellied up to the wooden bar don't seem to mind. The joint's small interior and wood-paneled walls suit regulars just fine, but the back patio is #VYBE best feature, with picnic tables and umbrellas accommodate larger crowds in summer.
