Chatfield State Park has a lot to offer for boaters, bicyclists, hikers, campers and dog-walkers alike – and it’s just a few miles southwest of Denver, close enough for a quick visit or a day-long frolic. If you find that there’s just too much to do in a day, it has close to 200 campsites, each furnished with water, sewer and electrical hookups. Dogs can enjoy the two lakes and acres of open space in the off-leash area, and humans won’t be bored, either.
