Crepes are in right now, and no one does them better than Crepes 'n Crepes, because the place is uncompromisingly, unabashedly and unstintingly French. The large but admirably unfocused menu is written in French; the owners -- Kathy Knight and Alain Veratti - are French; all the iron crepe griddles are French; and the ingredients and preparations -- the camembert and Chambord, ratatouille and sauce aux champignons -- are French. Even the ramshackle space gives off the honest, earned vibe of café-along-the-Seine frugality and disorder.
