Greeks Gone Wild did a brave thing when it set up shop in a strip mall near the University of Denver, an area that's home to an abundance of quick, inexpensive eateries as well as two formidably popular Mediterranean restaurants. But Greeks Gone Wild more than holds its own with fresh-off-the-skewer gyros, the cornerstone of any Greek restaurant worth its tzatziki. Other mainstays, including kabobs, falafel and salads, are tasty and affordable, and the salty, olive-oil-dressed Greek fries are dangerously addictive. Greeks Gone Wild shakes it up a bit by pairing Mexican with Greek dishes (souvlaki burritos, anyone?), but it's at its best when sticking to the basics. Open until 3 a.m. on Thursdays and weekends while DU is in session, this student-friendly spot is great for late-night eats, whether post-library or post-bar.
