Longtime restaurateur Jimmy Lambatos -- whose eateries stretch from '70s fave Footers to the downtown Bauer's, which shuttered in 2011 -- has moved south for his latest venture. In November 2011, Ivy at the Glenn opened in the former Tarbell's space at the Streets of SouthGlenn, where its eatery neighbors include Snooze, Noodles, Qdoba and 5 Star Burgers. Ivy's look is contemporary, and so is the cuisine, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients -- and dishes at a lower price point than at Lambatos's urban joints. He's pushing the Ivy as a neighborhood spot for the suburbs -- which can certainly use one. But in keeping with its surroundings, this neighborhood spot is also sophisticated enough to emphasize wines outside of the box.
