Located in a converted Gunther Toody’s diner, this second Steuben’s is the right concept to complement the feel of Olde Town Arvada, just blocks away. The eatery's long-tenured culinary team obviously did its homework, making minor changes to the menu but otherwise bringing over the lineup that’s drawn crowds to the original Steuben’s in Uptown year in and year out. That longevity is the result of a winning formula of affordable comfort food such as six-cheese macaroni and cheese, meatloaf and fried chicken. But the restaurant ventures into territory traditionally scorned by old-style diners, offering healthy dishes like falafel and hummus, tortilla soup and salads, not to mention more contemporary fare including fried Brussels sprouts and, of course, killer cocktails. Cap your meal off with a thick milkshake, or cupcakes made in-house by pastry chef Nadine Donovan.
