Early-morning, mid-afternoon or late-night Mexican munchies can be sated at Tacos Rapidos, where carne asada-smothered fries, tacos stuffed with beef, pork or tongue meat, and breakfast burritos with bacon, sausage, potatoes and eggs are served all day. There are three Tacos Rapidos outposts — one on West Alameda Avenue, one about twenty minutes south facing West Evans Avenue, and a third on the very same block, facing South Federal Boulevard. While all three are technically open 24/7, the one facing Evans tends to be the most reliable when it comes to late-night hours. The atmosphere is closer to greasy spoon than haute cuisine, but the green chiles are a safe medium-hot, the tortillas are thick, and the veggie burritos are fat and flavorful.
