If you like fondue, you’ll go weak in the knees for the Melting Pot. This national chain has two locations in metro Denver -- one in a lovely old Carnegie library in Littleton, the other in Louisville. Fondue may be delicious, but it’s also a pain to make and clean up, so it’s much better to let the Melting Pot do the prep work for you. The updated menu includes both multiple-course blowouts and single-fondue selections, as well as cheese-fondue appetizers and salads. There are several main-course fondue options (steak, lobster, pasta, chicken, pork and even vegetarian dishes) with different broth choices, as well as a half-dozen decadent chocolate finishers. And the drink menu is dizzying, loaded with good wine and signature cocktails. The vibe is somewhat upscale, which makes the Melting Pot a popular choice for birthdays, anniversaries or any other celebration.
