Big Mac & Little Lu's Seafood Market & Grill opened in early 2013 in Westminster. Owners Ashley and Paul Brock, who moved to Colorado from Florida, wanted to provide fresh seafood for their new landlocked neighbors and decided to open a fish market – no freezer, just a walk-in fridge for the fresh (and sometimes live) seafood delivered daily -- named after their daughters: MacKenzie "Big Mac" Brock and Delaney "Little Lu" Brock. But just as those kids will grow, so have the Brocks’ ambitions for their spot, which now includes a restaurant that’s reminiscent of the fish shacks you find on the East Coast. Today Big Mac & Little Lu’s not only stocks plenty of fresh fish, but the place also cooks up special seafood dishes and serves them on the spot, in one of the most charming, welcome additions to the northwest ’burbs imaginable. Fair warning: Because the fish is often that day’s catch, you can’t count on your favorites always being available.
