Location Description:

Is it a dive? Absolutely. But we mean that in only the sweetest, most endearing way. If you're looking for wasabi mashed potatoes and tenderloins with mango chutney, this is not the place for you. But if your idea of atmosphere is cheap beers at 10 a.m., 365-days-a-year Christmas lights and a seasoned waitress who could tell you firsthand what Methuselah was like in the sack, Club 404 is where it's at. The venue's assets include a pure neighborhood crowd, zero pretension, a menu that bounces around from classic steakhouse fare to Italian to greasy-spoon Mexican like a bargain-basement sale on all the world’s cuisine, and, after fifty years, now a dining room with windows! Nothing on the board will run you more than thirteen dollars, and Club 404 offers regular specials that can drop the price of a lunch or dinner down into the five-buck range.
