Jim 慨 Nick's is a chain, but one backed by real guys: Jim and Nick Pihakis, father and son, who ran the business together until Jim died not long ago. Now Nick is overseeing the expansion into barbecue-loving parts of America, including Aurora, where the local owner is Todd Koone, who came to Colorado by way of Birmingham. Jim 慨 Nick𠏋 is known for a lot of things -- for the pork ribs and cheese biscuits and giant baked potatoes covered in pork -- but the real draw here is its drive-thru.

Overall:

Overated and expensive! That sums up my visit to Nick's. It's the closest thing to barbeque here in Aurora. Overated because, there's no place else in Aurora to compare it to. Expensive because it is. We prefer Dave's barbecue in Stapleton. You get more for your buck, the food is delicious, and if you live in Aurora, well worth the trek.

Jim n Nick's is some of the best bar-b-q in Denver. WHen you look at KT's (ok), Famous Daves (better than most), Brothers (mediocre at best) this is a find. What really depends is if you're in BBQ for the sauce or you're in it for the quality of the meat. Sauce is sauce. Sure it has to be good, but if the meat is crap, it's not worth it. You can put sauce on anything, but good bbq meats of all types that are well done with the great flavor and soft fall apart texture are hard to beat. You'll find that here. Sure it's pricey, but what high quality stuff isn't? We can spend $50 at J-n-N's for 2 people and make two very full meals out of it. You can't even get out of Quizno's for less than $8 a person and that's for one item! Try it, you'll like it.

Overall:

I love Jim 'N Nick's, the bbq is authentic southern cuisine at its finest. I tried Famous Dave's, terrible, they don't even have a pit. How do you cook bbq without a pit? And Daves is more expensive! Anyway every time I visit Southlands mall to do some shopping the smell draws you in.
The restaurant is very comfortable and Jim 'N Nick's is very generous in the community, I will continue to eat there and so will all of my friends.

Overall:

Real Pit BBQ, yes! Jim 'N Nicks has a true hickory Pit. Ask your other BBQ restaurants if you can see their pit. You can just taste the quality of the meat and the love that goes into this homemade food. All of the food at Jim 'N Nicks is made from scratch daily, there is no freezer in the restaurant. I am a true southerner and have eaten at BBQ restaurants from Alabama to Denver and we are fortunate to have a true southern kitchen in Colorado. I love to call in and get catering for football games or run through the drive through, trust me your friends will love it! I am also looking forward to meeting some SEC football fans at Jim N Nicks this season as the restaurant started in Bama.

Overall:

Amazing!, finally a place to get real southern BBQ. Restaurant atmosphere is fun & relaxing, service is super friendly, and the food is phenomenal. Everything is homemade & you can tell. The cheese biscuits and mashed potatoes & gravy make my mouth water just thinking about them. Already looking forward to my next visit, and many more to come!
