New Broadsterdam's waiting room has an appropriately Netherlands-esque thing going on, with pictures of windmills hung on the walls and other Dutch kitsch thrown around for good measure. The pieces of heavy wooden antique furniture (and motorcycle) they've got sitting in the large waiting room make it feel almost like one of the antiques shops a few blocks north. But New Broadsterdam also sells glass rigs by local artists, and instead of musty furniture, you'll find musky cannabis. There's a quirky hydroponic setup working out of a reused toilet -- just one of the oddities in this bud bar, which is like an Amsterdam club aimed at German tourists, with bright colors on the carpet and doors, lots of green crosses (some even in AstroTurf), Bob Marley murals, and shelf upon shelf of buds, edibles, hashes and waxes, all selling for cheap.
