Hanging above the entrance to Osteria Marco is a brass pig. You could miss it if you weren't looking for it; as a matter of fact, you could easily miss the entire restaurant -- which is mostly below ground. But in that warm, welcoming basement space you'll find a gourmet wonderland of artisan cured meats, handmade cheeses, beautiful wood-fired pizzas and paninis and salads with roasted meats -- all displaying a remarkable attention to culinary detail.

The Inside Word on Osteria Marco

Great Italian food in a very casual dining room. Be sure to try something from the salumi and cheese bar. They make their own burrata which is a type of fresh mozzarella with a creamy ricotta like middle served with their grilled bread. Yum! Walking distance to the theatre district and moderately priced.

The place was great! I especially liked and appreciated the staff! Very friendly, accommodating & knowledgeable! The Chef's special had plenty of meats and cheese's but definitely order an entree' for good measures! Thank you to the staff behind the bar!
