The middle ground between downtown's self-styled gentlemen's clubs and the sketchy strip joints in the suburbs, the venerable PT's Showclub has been shakin' it for thirty years now. The PT's on Evans -- in a room that used to host the legendary Family Dog rock club in the '60s -- is a neon-blasted, zebra-patterned strip club that promises a good time for all. Often host to titillating and trashy events like the Velcro and Sumo Challenge and Foxy Boxing, PTs invites patrons to light up a cigar with their whiskey, or even show off their goods on the expansive dance floor. On Friday and Saturday nights, the club offers an all-male revue from the fit folks of Bare Assets, and the second floor houses PTs After Dark, which keeps the whole shebang moving until 4 a.m.
