Sae Jong Kwan

2680 S. Havana St.
Aurora, CO 80014
303-752-1338
Though Sae Jong Kwan (aka House of Korean BBQ) focuses partly on the tabletop barbecue dishes that most fans of American Korean food are familiar with, the real delights of this long, super-traditional menu are the very authentic Korean soups, stews and entrees that forego the flash of the bbq grill and aim for a rare, ethnic sort of comfort. The soups are particularly good, with almost every one offering surprises in flavor and texture: oxtail in a creamy lemongrass broth, crab soup that tastes like liquid kimchi. - Jason Sheehan

The Inside Word on Sae Jong Kwan

This is THE Korean BBQ in the Denver metro area. If oyu've never HAD Korean BBQ, just get 2-3 other friends together, go here, sit down, and ask for an order of Bulgogi, (marinated rib eye steak), and Kalbi, (marinated ribs, cut off the bones right in fornt of you, tableside), and then they'll cook it right in front of you on the table, and deiliver some tasty side items adn lettuce leaves...you make lettuce wraps while sampling all the wonderful condiments and rice, and marinated meats and wrapping them up together in BLISS! Not hot, not spicy...slightly sweet, mild, and wonderful textures and tastes that marry together in ways you wouldn't imagine! CHECK IT OUT-you WON'T be let down!!!

Even if you're not a huge fan of Asian the experience is worth it. Plus the meat and veggies grilled on the Korean BBQ at your table is amazing. Go wtih someone who knows or just ask the staff.

Spareribs, pork belly, thin sliced beef, bulgogi, bibimbob and more. In-table grills allow you to grill your meat the way you like it. One of the only places that carries Ob beer and soju to enjoy with your meal as well.
