Step a few feet inside Sancho's Broken Arrow and there's no mistaking that you're in a Grateful Deadcentric, tiedyed hippie hangout. Live bands stake out Sancho's on Mondays, but jukebox jockeys normally take care of the music. The jukebox is stocked with enough Dead to last for weeks. Every so often, though, you need a break from Jerry and company, and there are a few other artists sprinkled in cats like Leon Russell and the Talking Heads, as well as jam-centric acts like Widespread Panic, String Cheese Incident and Gov't Mule. The place is packed before and after shows at the Fillmore Auditorium next door; otherwise, the vibe is easygoing, roomy and kind.
