Tony Pasquini opened his first restaurant back in 1986, when he was barely of legal age to have a liquor license. In the years since then, he’s opened and closed restaurants, franchised and bought back others. And he's still going strong, as evidenced by his latest venture, Tony P'S, which open in an elegant, two-story building on East 17th Avenue in November 2012. Pasquini has turned this place into a riot of pink and purple flowers on the outside, and turned the interior into a colorful yet comfortable dining room and lounge area with two outdoor decks. The emphasis is still on traditional Italian fare, including Napolitana-style pizzas crafted from organic flour and baked in an 800-degree wood-burning oven, as well as other family recipes. And if you’re lucky, you’ll be greeted by Judy “Mama” Pasquini, the family matriarch who was there when Tony opened his first restaurant and is still often on hand to greet guests.
