Uoki Restaurant

701 E. 6th Ave.
Denver, CO 80203
303-837-4380
Website
Anyone looking for unusual ethnic mash-ups, American style, will find them at Uoki, a combination Korean/Japanese restaurant and sushi bar with a menu that covers virtually all of the Asian comfort foods. Here you can make a meal of tekka maki, a bowl of excellent, thick and spicy green-curry soup with potatoes and carrots, and sang choo sam with marinated beef, onions and rice. But the best item is that most basic of Korean offerings, the bulgogi: sweetly marinated shreds of ribeye, cooked quickly in a hot wok and served beside fluffy rice. - Jason Sheehan

The Inside Word on Uoki Restaurant

  • BelleN
I moved to Denver this past jan. and Uoki was the first place that friends told me about to get gooooooood sushi. It took me a while to try it out, I tried some of the more trendy spots first (happa :() and realized that I wasn't looking for a trend, but good, fresh, solid sushi! I came, I ate, I got a job!! So come see me (Belle) at Uoki and I'll let you know whats up!!!

My favorite spot for sushi. Sit at the bar, get to know the owner/sushi chef, and drink Soju (Korean whiskey) -- the house calls it holy water, and yowza...you'll see why.
