Among Denver dance fiends, local DJs can get neglected in the rush to see Moby's latest car commercial. So while local spinner Forest Sindurr's name may yet not be imprinted on every eardrum, he's working on it. Sindurr's prior CD, Das Uber Their, contained cuts from such recognizable artists as Felix Da Housecat and Johnny Starlight, while his newer recording, Spun Is the New Lust, focuses more on his own style and artistry. Sharp hooks and bass lines keep the beats fresh, as intermittent vocals add dashes of color throughout the sculpted tracks. Sindurr's program at Citrus on Friday, December 13, promises a night of smooth spinning and stimulating sounds in a setting more typically associated with posh drinks than experimental audio. We hope you like your martinis shaken.
