A harbinger of Chi-Town's next generation and a veteran of old-school warehouse rhythms, Mullan masters the mixes without breaking a sweat. His Catalyst label has spawned clubland hits and paired him with hipsters such as H-Foundation's Halo. Mullan's touring has decelerated lately to leave more time for work in the studio, where his extensive background as a performing musician contributes to his quirky but compelling compositions. The DJ attributes his success to an innate ability to guide "the crowd on a spiritual journey" with each show. Be sure to pack your bags before heading to either -- or both -- of his twin shows.
