It's hard to imagine that Coheed and Cambria is celebrating its tenth anniversary as a band this year. During a decade-long stint as one of rock's only trans-media bands, Coheed and Cambria has managed to release not just a crop of solid albums, but comics and novels as well. While singer Claudio Sanchez's screech might turn away the casual listener and the deeply seated science fiction and fantasy concepts behind each of the band's albums should have guaranteed low sales, Coheed and Cambria has persevered, cultivating a solid fan base through the years. To celebrate these feats, the outfit will play its first album, The Second Stage Turbine Blade, in its entirety with an accompanying acoustic set. While the idea of performing an old album is certainly not a new thing, the men of Coheed and Cambria don't seem to be doing it just for fan service; they're doing it because they believe in it.
