If you've ever been to Salt Lake City, you know there's gotta be a dark underbelly of pissed-off people who rage against the prevalent cultural climate in private or in venues that are the underground of the underground. Gaza gives credence to this notion. Are these guys kidding when they refer to their music as "progressive crust" or "math piss"? Probably, but even a casual listen to the precision in their seemingly chaotic blast of sonic shrapnel and blindingly angry, tortured vocal delivery proves that even well-executed jokes can contain more than a grain of truth. If you like your heavy music with the fangs, claws and rough edges intact but with some discipline undergirding the violence, you couldn't do much better than these guys.
