Can't believe that we've already reached mid-summer and that in less than two months, the Taste of Colorado will be upon us. Serving as the official end of summer mile marker in contrast to the People's Fair, which kicks the season off, the annual outdoor fest announced more main stage acts this week. The acts, Robert Cray and Cherry Poppin' Daddies, will round out a line-up that includes Foghat, Grand Funk Railroad and the Spinners. Haven't seen the Daddies in eons, probably since they appeared at the LoDo Fest years and years ago, but from what we remember, they put on a pretty lively show. And Robert Cray, as those who've seen him in recent years can attest, is always great live. On behalf of discriminating listeners everywhere who've grown weary of the perennial old timer show you put on every year, nice work, Taste, for at least branching out slightly from the dad rock we're so used to. Really. Kudos.
