Take this for what's it's worth; we're still considering this hearsay (given the name of this section of the blog, that actually seems kind of fitting) at this point until we've had the chance to speak with the band to get confirmation: Several independent (and reliable) sources with ties to the band have now confirmed a rumor we heard a few weeks back that No 1 Left Standing, the runner-up in KBPI's most recent Best Band in Denver contest, is in serious talks with a major label, yet another with current ties to Denver. To kick things off, the imprint is reportedly planning to include a track from the outfit on an upcoming compilation featuring a number of established artists. We've also heard that act has written the theme song for a racing show. Look for a full update soon one way or the other.
