The side project/obsession of KMFDM collaborator Raymond Watts, PIG has long been a hero in the underground industrial scene. The band's mix of orchestral drenched beats, references to pork products and proclivity for poking fun at its peers has made it a favorite with the Smashing Pumpkins and Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, who took the group on the road a few years ago. PIG's live shows, which are a visual and sonic feast, have become legendary; they should be even more riveting this time around, courtesy of the Genitorturer's hauntingly beautiful Angel, who will perform with the act when it stops by Quixote's this Wednesday. Suffice it to say that Denver's notorious hippie haven will never be the same. Expect a loud, sweaty night full of programmed beats and dominatrix wannabes galore. Praise the lard!
