The best EDM in Denver this weekend
tINI holds down residencies in Ibiza, London and other high-profile cities all over the world as well as in her native Germany; despite her name, she's clearly a force to be reckoned with. Then again, her moniker is just as likely a nod to her minimalist techno vibe as it is to any other facet of her persona: tINI's best known for deceptively simple and insistently funky grooves that enrapture dance-music fanatics and ensnare them in their deep threads. Her first instrument was a drum kit, which she picked up at the age of seven, and from there, she began tapping out tunes on an Atari, so the progression to minimal techno seems a given. (It's also easy to see where she cultivated her affinity for snaking drum lines and robotic effects.) All things Mnml will host tINI at NORAD tomorrow with Mike Robot and Tess.
Israel's Infected Mushroom specializes in completely over-the-top psychedelic trance. A breakout act in its homeland's substantial psy-trance scene, the duo takes an unusually eclectic approach to the genre, which has led to some odd crossover attention. That's not entirely surprising, since the music is mind-bendingly dense and crammed full of weird ideas and sounds. Mixing in everything from metal guitars to gamelan sounds and layering the whole acid-damaged mess over typical hard trance beats and squiggling synth lines, the music may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it will get you off your head if you're so inclined.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22

Come celebrate the final Friday of the month at the Appaloosa Grill's Electric Pony, featuring Chris Irvin and Satori C with J. Fuziion on trumpet, plus residents Garrett and Sound Advice. Get out and get down. (9 p.m., 21+, donations accepted)

The Hundred on Saturday night hosts a legendary evening at Beauty Bar: Paul Johnson vs. Paul Anthony (some might have been lucky enough to have seen/heard their legendary four-hour tag-team set from a decade or so ago in Chicago). They're reuniting. Collin McKenna, Brick Lee and option4 will help warm things up. (9 p.m., 21+, $10)
Looking for some bass on Saturday night? Figure is headlining the Ogden Theatre; gLAdiator, Vinnie Maniscalco and LoLo will support the dancefloor impresario. (9 p.m., 16+, $22-$25)
