Last month, we brought you the news that Swallow Hill Music would be booking this year's summer concert series at the Arvada Center. That partnership becomes much clearer this morning with the full lineup announcement -- in addition to previously announced artists including Judy Collins and Don McLean, the Center announced today that it would feature the Manhattan Transfer, the Subdudes and the Mavericks.

Tickets for the series are on sale this Friday, May 2

It's a remarkably safe group of bands, but then again we are talking about an evening in the park with the family. And in that regard, the talent is serious -- the Mavericks have borrowed from punk, country and the music of its native Miami to put together a discography with some lasting impact.
